Originally from North Wales, I re-located to the Isle of Wight shortly after finishing school. With family living down here (constantly gloating about their relaxed summer evenings spent at the beach), it sounded too good to miss! Initially I worked for the local NHS before joining Saffa at a local mortgage company back in 2017. I naturally love to be organised and appreciate all colour co-ordinated spreadsheets, so I quickly knew this was definitely where I was meant to be.
The best thing about my role though? It’s personal. I love connecting with our lovely clients and working alongside them to achieve their, sometimes ‘life-changing’, goals – from the beginning, right through to the end of the journey - and sometimes even beyond that, as friends. Secondly, I love working with my husband. Saffa was a fantastic support when I initially joined the industry and spent a lot of time teaching me the basics and how to think ‘outside of the box’. Working side-by-side has encouraged us to trust each other’s strengths and work in unison. As a wife of over 8 years, I usually know what Saff needs before he even knows it himself, which also aids our communication like nothing else does! We have a gorgeous chocolate Labrador called Hux who also joins us in the office occasionally and is usually found snoozing away in the background.
In my ‘down time’ I enjoy trying out new recipes and reading books or listening to Podcasts. Sundays are best spent going for an afternoon walk with our family, being far too competitive over board games then settling in with a glass of Jammy Red and a good boxset!
